Rights must be protected, not only for the sake
of the
individuals and countries involved, but to
preserve
the human race'.

Human
Rights Education is all about helping people to develop to
the point where they understand human rights and where they
feel that they are important and should be respected and
defended within a framework of interactive and participatory
methodologies.
Human Rights Education is concerned with changing attitudes
and behaviour, encourages respect and tolerance, learning
new skills, and promoting the exchange of knowledge and
information.
Freedom of
Information lies at the root of the rights discourse. Failure of
the State to provide access to information or State suppression
of information can lead to the most egregious forms of human
rights violations. The Right to Information (RTI) is fundamental
to the realization of rights as well as effective democracy,
which requires informed participation by all.
